Audition Notice for 

"The Savannah Disputation"

Naked Stage is pleased to offer "The Savannah Disputation" a comedy by Evan Smith and directed by Simon Challenger as the second show in our 2025/2026 season.

Synopsis: Two elderly sisters forget all about southern charm when a young door-to-door evangelist comes knocking. This theological comedy blends Smith’s trademark sharpness of wit and depth of character, while telling a story in which a crisis of faith arises when seemingly similar beliefs are discovered to be worlds apart.
Roles include: 
Mary – 65+ southern, catholic, straightshooter, direct, sister of Margaret
Margaret – 65+ southern, catholic, reticent, sister of Mary
Melissa – 35+ southern, fundamentalist Christian, a bit of a misfit
Father Murphy – 50+ southern, catholic priest, a bit geeky

Auditions (as well as rehearsals and performances) takes place at Newton Cultural Centre, 13530-72 Ave. Surrey on Saturday, January 17th  from 11:00 - 4:00 pm.
Rehearsals run weekly on Tuesday evenings  from January 20 - February 24 from 6:30 - 9:15 pm., with a tech rehearsal on Thursday February 26 from 5:30 - 9:30pm. 
Performances run February 27 and 28 at 7:30 pm and March 1st at 2:00 pm.
Actors who are cast must be able to attend all rehearsals and performances and must become a member of Naked Stage Productions Society (f not already a member).

Audition sides will be sent out prior to the audition and the deadline to schedule a time is January 15th.
