Audition Notice for

"Take Down the Letters"

Naked Stage is pleased to offer "Take Down the Letters" by Sue Schleifer and directed by Kelly Thompson as the final show of our 2024/2025 season.

Synopsis: Finally ready to clean out her late husband’s closet, Lynn discovers a box of letters. She invites her mom to accompany her on the reading journey that takes them to the 70s and his former girlfriend who is searching for her purpose in life. What do the letters reveal and what will Lynn learn about herself and her own relationships?

We are looking to fill two roles:
Lynn: A woman in her early 50s. More scientist than artist.
Starshine: A woman, 18 - 28 years old over the length of the play. A dancer
and thinker with a hippy-ish look and a questioning mind.

Auditions (as well as rehearsals and performances) takes place at Newton Cultural Centre, 13530-72 Ave. Surrey on April 26th  from 11:00 - 4:00 pm.

Rehearsals run weekly on Tuesday evenings  from April 29 - June 3 from 6:30 - 9:15 pm., with a tech rehearsal on Thursday June 5 from 5:30 - 9:30pm. 
Performances run June 6 and 7 at 7:30 pm and June 8 at 2:00 pm.
Actors who are cast must be able to attend all rehearsals and performances and must become a member of Naked Stage Society (f not already a member).
