Bakersfield Mist by Stephen Sachs

April 19-21 2024

Maude, an unemployed bartender, bought a painting for a few bucks from a thrift store and is now convinced it’s a lost masterpiece by Jackson Pollock. When art expert Lionel Percy arrives at her trailer home to authenticate the painting, he has no idea what he is about to discover. Inspired by true events, this hilarious and thought-provoking comedy-drama asks vital questions about what makes art and people truly authentic.

Patron Feedback

"I've missed only one or two of the performances so far, and I really enjoyed all of them. The chain-rattler in the play about Scrooge was excellent and the Southern Belles in the Sipping Society - I just loved them all!"
